Milford Sound

By far the best known of all the fiords, Milford Sound is an enchanting place that captures the hearts and minds of all who visit it.

Take a scenic cruise along its corridors and absorb the wonder and beauty of the incredible surrounding mountain peaks, with the pinnacle of the experience, Mitre Peak, offering photographers the opportunity of a lifetime.

Stand in the spray of the majestic waterfalls and watch from afar as the playful fur seals enthusiastically frolic by the water's edge.

Manapouri

Often described as the "loveliest of all the lakes", Lake Manapouri boasts 33 secluded islands, a backdrop of the stunning Cathedral Mountain Range and a glorious array of sandy beaches and coves.

A lovely township is nestled on its shores, with a population of just 300 people ensuring your welcome will be warm and inviting.

Te Anau

Home to the largest lake on New Zealand's South Island, Te Anau is the gateway to the stunning Fjordland National Park.

Nestled below the picturesque Mt Luxmore and the Murchison Mountains, Te Anau offers a variety of great restaurants, cafes and shops, and is everything one would imagine a lakeside village to be.

Comfortable shoes are a must if you plan on doing a lot of walking around.

If you are staying outdoors, a hat and sunscreen are a must!

Warm clothing is essential as temperatures are generally pretty cold in this area.
